BigJigs: E Commerce Manager required

As an integral part of our Operations Teams in our UK HQ, you’ll be spearheading our journey in eCommerce across multiple platforms & marketplaces. These include Amazon, eBay and via our own innovative eCommerce platform. The role is crucial to maximising online presence and sales for the business to attract customers using campaigns, engaging content and effective SEO strategies.

You will provide day-to-day management of the site and collaborate on strategic leadership and guidance of e-commerce strategies in conjunction with senior management and report on E-commerce metrics.

You must be within commutable distance to our HQ in Folkestone for this position.

Hours: 8.30-17.00 – Mon-Fri – 3 days are office based and 2 days are working from home. During the initial training period (6-8 weeks) the hours will be Mon-Fri – 08.30-17.00 in the office.

Bigjigs Toys is a fun, fast paced wooden toy wholesaler supplying a fantastic range of traditional toys into independent toy & gift shops and direct to consumers. Started in 1985 by Peter & Liz Ireland the company has grown from a garden shed outfit into a multinational operation supplying goods to shops in over 40 countries around the world.

Our ecommerce operation is a unique setup across B2B and B2C channels leveraging the Shopify platform, Channel Advisor and other integration platforms to make our products available on almost 100 different websites and marketplaces around the world. The right candidate will have an intrigue for all things ecommerce and a passion to grow and expand upon what we have in place.

What we’re looking for:

  • Background in eCommerce and online selling
  • 2 years experience dealing with Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central managing pricing / queries / support etc
  • Experience dealing with product content on Amazon
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of managing products across the Shopify platform or similar would be beneficial
  • Confident in managing product listings via Channeladvisor (or similar software) and implementing new channel launches would be beneficial
  • Outstanding spreadsheet skills
  • An ambitious character who will thrive in an innovative atmosphere
  • Have a flair for working with a variety of people and external customers
  • Have the ability to execute existing and develop new Marketplace initiatives and opportunities designed to meet and exceed the needs of the customer and the Marketplace E-Commerce revenue goals
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and show constant entrepreneurial initiative
  • Review monthly customer service reports and putting into place action items to ensure efficiency of the process
  • Drill down into marketing channels and site performance metrics to explain variances to business
  • Ensure marketplace copy and meta data are fully optimised to maximise traffic from search engines
  • Develop the merchandising strategy and deck to ensure the site is well merchandised according to company directives and standards and merchandising is updated based upon the needs of the business for product to look fresh, new and push quarterly agenda’s.
  • Plan out and execute marketplace promotions to maximise growth
  • Oversee the day-to-day marketplace E-commerce operations, customer service, updates, post listings, promotions, merchandising, maintenance and performance.
  • Reconciliation of Marketplace listings
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of web technologies, browsers, analytics, reporting and content management systems and processes

We offer 20 days holiday per year plus an extra day for every 2 years of service given to the company (up to a maximum of 5 extra days). 8 Statutory bank holidays are in addition to these 20 days.
