And the winners are…

Retailers, suppliers and industry legends win a flurry of accolades at the Toymaster awards evening

After a busy second day of trading, retailers, suppliers and industry legends were recognised at the Toymaster awards dinner last night.

Two further Golden Teddy awards were given to long-serving industry figures.

They were sales agent David Larter, described as “generous with an old-school style”, and retailer Paul Carpenter of Totally Toys on Bristol’s Gloucester Road. Matt Jones of the BTHA said: “Because of him, people love going into their local toy shop.”

Meanwhile, Amy Saunders of Just Play was named the 2025 Friends of Toymaster winner for her dedication to improving service for Toymaster members.  “She loves Toymaster and describes it as her happy place,” said Toymaster’s Paul Reader.

The Toymaster Supplier of the Year award was won by Brainstorm who “delivered an outstanding performance in 2024 and have proven to be a key partner to Toymaster retailers”. The award recognises toy companies who go above and beyond to support Toymaster and the independent retail trade.

The evening was soundtracked by a choir and live band, with industry figures seen boogying til the early hours.

The Toymaster May Show opens this morning for one final day of business in Harrogate. Dates for next year’s event have already been announced as 19-21 May 2026.
