Jazwares has signed a master toy deal for Japanese agency Spiralcute’s ‘sophisti-cute’ character brands.
Jazwares will serve as the master toy partner and global distributor (excluding Asia) for Spiralcute’s core character product ranges, including Chiikawa, Mofusand, and Koupen Chan.

Founded in 2009, artist-driven character management agency Spiralcute brings Japanese pop-culture to life. With the recent launch of Spiralcute International in Los Angeles, the company says it is positioned to scale these brands worldwide, transforming them into powerhouse global lifestyle franchises.

Artist Nagano first introduced Chiikawa through a charming manga series that quickly blossomed across social media, retail, publishing, and its own Chiikawa Park immersive experience in Tokyo. Mofusand is from illustrator Juno, and features irresistibly cute cats – often dressed in whimsical outfits or stumbling into humorous daily escapades – with a distinctive visual style and endlessly lovable cast.
Illustrator Rurutea’s creation, Koupen Chan, is a sweet baby emperor penguin dedicated to spreading positivity. Centered on everyday encouragement and celebrating even the smallest victories, this cute and cozy character’s uplifting messages have made Koupen Chan a cherished companion for both children and adults.
