The 22nd Lego store in the UK will offer the largest selection of Lego products, and is billed as “a top destination” for fans of the construction toy brand
The Lego Group has confirmed plans for a new UK store, which is set to open in the Westgate shopping centre in Oxford in 2026.
The 250 m.sq. store will be home to the largest range of Lego products, including exclusive licensed sets for the likes of Star Trek and Stranger Things. It will also feature a Pick a Brick Wall and Build a Minifigure Tower.
Shweta Munshi, Vice President Marketing, Lego Retail at the Lego Group, said: “We are delighted to expand the Lego Retail store portfolio by opening our first store in Oxford. We have found the perfect site at Westgate Oxford, and the new store will allow builders of all ages to be inspired by the endless play opportunities Lego building has to offer. This store will be a top destination for product launches and events, while acting as a hub for our Lego community and new builders alike.”
The Oxford location will be the 22nd store in the UK. Details of when the store will open will follow soon, Lego said, with local recruitment for in-store staff kicking off in the new year.
Brendan Hattam, Centre Director at Westgate Oxford, added: “We are thrilled to announce the opening of the region’s first Lego store. The arrival of such a globally recognised brand underscores Westgate Oxford’s commitment to offering the best retail lineup possible. We look forward to announcing more details about the brand’s arrival, including an opening date, in due course.”
