Libraries Board Game Club readies next chapter

Autumn phase of Playtime PR’s initiative will roll out in October following successful spring edition

Playtime PR will follow up a successful spring edition of its Libraries Board Game Club initiative with an autumn edition this October.

Set to roll out ahead of the autumn half-term, it will see a fresh selection of board games being distributed to a further 100 public libraries, connecting brands with engaged families and communities across the country. The autumn phase has already seen strong support from board game stalwarts, with Big Potato, Exploding Kittens, Orchard Toys and Ravensburger already on board.

“We’re really excited to be forging ahead with the fourth phase of Libraries Board Game Club, and seeing how it continues to spread the power of play,” says Ceriann Smith, the newly appointed Managing Director at Playtime PR.

Since its inception, the initiative has delivered 3,100 games to 300 public libraries and continues to push towards its mission of increasing access to play for communities via local libraries.

“We continue to see strong sign-ups and hugely positive feedback from libraries, and with many of them being underfunded, it’s clear that the board game boxes really make a difference to them and their local communities,” added Ceriann. “This is particularly key as we head into the autumn/winter months when public libraries become even more of a focal point for families and local neighbourhoods. We’re so pleased that we have companies on board already, who recognise the positive impact that Libraries Board Game Club continues to have.”

Spaces are limited, so any games companies interested in getting involved should contact libraries@playtimepr.com
