Trade visitor numbers climb and 93% of exhibitors deem their experience a success as the Spielwarenmesse celebrates milestone year
Anniversary celebrations helped spur the 75th Spielwarenmesse to new heights in January, with visitor numbers climbing to 58,900 (+2.5 per cent).
Though the snowiest show in more than a decade, Nuremberg Toy Fair cemented its position as a vital destination for the international toy trade. Visitor numbers from the USA remained strong, with mainland China and Hong Kong posting major gains thanks to a non-overlapping Chinese New Year. Growth was also recorded from Mexico, Turkey, the UK, and France, while Germany maintained its elevated level from last year.
More than 2,300 exhibitors from 68 countries presented their latest innovations, with 93 per cent – three per cent more than last year – rating their participation as successful. The high level of exhibitor satisfaction is also reflected in the figures: 90 per cent of companies plan to exhibit again in Nuremberg next year, which moves a week later in the calendar to 2-6 February 2027.
“With this, Spielwarenmesse has once again confirmed its global leading position and underlined its role as the central meeting point for trade, industry and media, where inspiration, innovation and networking come together at the highest level,” said Christian Ulrich, Spokesperson of the Executive Board at Spielwarenmesse eG.
