Playmobil expands iconic Knights range

New additions build on the enduring appeal of Playmobil Knights, with sets bringing action-led play, enhanced collectability, and accessible price points

Playmobil has expanded its established Knights range with a new collection of Lion Knights and Dragon Knights playsets.

Building on one of the brand’s most recognisable heritage themes, first launched over 50 years ago, the four-piece launch reinvents a clear, battle-led play story accompanied by new characters and accessories across the range for children to create their own battles and adventures.

Recently launched, the new additions bring fresh battles to one of the oldest themes in Playmobil’s catalogue. Leading the range is the Dragon Knight Attack Tower, an action-packed playset featuring a rolling tower with battering ram, swinging cage, triple ballista and interchangeable shields. Characters from both sides are included, allowing children to begin the conflict straight from the box.

The range also includes Lion with Golden Knight, featuring a fully flexible lion that figures can ride, removable battle armour and a Lion Knight figure. Dragon Transport adds another layer to the story with a lockable cage for a baby dragon, a horse-drawn wagon and figures from both factions.

Completing the launch line-up is Dragon Knight Combat Training, a compact target-practice set with an interactive shooting feature: hit the green target to trigger a flip-back mechanism.

Jamie Dickinson, Head of Marketing at Playmobil UK and Ireland, said: “Knights has long been an important part of the Playmobil world because it gives children such a clear starting point for imaginative play: courage, rivalry and adventure.

“These new additions bring fresh energy to that world. The Lion Knights and Dragon Knights give children two distinctive sides to the story, while the new action features and accessories create even more opportunities for children to build their own battles and adventures.”
