Ravensburger launches new Disney Lorcana sets

The new set launch, aimed at introducing the TCG to more Disney fans, is supported by a full-weight UK marketing campaign 

Following the incredible sell-out success of Set 9: Fabled, fans can now spread the joy of discovery and wonder with two products that aim to entice newcomers to join the fun of collecting Disney Lorcana TCG. 

The Collection Starter Set and Elsa Gift Box are now available everywhere and are the perfect way for Disney-lovers to jump into an epic collecting journey.

“Collecting Disney Lorcana cards is so much fun that we wanted to make sure we had a super accessible way for fans to get started,” said Greg Tito, Ravensburger Director of Communications for Disney Lorcana TCG. “Once you crack open the packs, it’s easy to display your new cards in the portfolio included in the Collection Starter Set or store your favourite deck in the box that comes with the Elsa Gift Box.”

In the UK at launch, samples of the Collection Starter Set are being sent to a host of Disney fan influencers, board game creators and collectors across Instagram and TikTok to develop content around opening booster packs, revealing unique artwork and showing how newcomers to the game can curate their own Disney Lorcana TCG collection. 

In addition Ravensburger is running a targeted Come Round Marketing campaign this month with over 150 Collection Starter Sets being sent to Disney fans on Instagram for review ahead of the key Christmas buying period. 

The Ravensburger Disney Lorcana team is also working in partnership with Disney on a sampling initiative at Disney’s hit show Hercules The Musical in London’s West End on Halloween where Booster packs will be distributed to all show attendees and spot prizes on offer to the best dress-up outfits on the evening! 

“With the Disney Lorcana TCG player community firmly established in the UK, and hobby stores doing an incredible job of developing in-store organised play events, our focus pre-Christmas now includes targeting those Disney fans and collectors that may be new to the brand with a host of sampling initiatives designed to showcase the incredible card artwork, Disney characters and how people can start their own collection,” added Lea Dillenseger, Disney Lorcana TCG Product Marketing Manager at Ravensburger. “With so many cards to choose from, people can develop personalised bespoke collections around movie franchises, favourite characters and more. The choice is theirs!”
