Tomy International has launched Dōteki, an electrifying new line of feature-packed battle systems. Now available online and in stores worldwide, Dōteki invites players to blend strategy, speed, and skill into a high-energy, dynamic gameplay experience built for solo and multiplayer fun.
With Dōteki, players build custom arenas, align with powerful elemental factions, and compete using handheld battle controllers that test reflexes, precision, and strategic thinking. Every battle is powered by the all-powerful ion ball, which ricochets through the arena as players aim, block, and fight to protect their target. Add in exclusive trading cards, collectable characters, and pop-out health keys – making every match an unpredictable, pulse-pounding showdown filled with non-stop excitement.
“We set out to create an innovative new brand where kids aren’t just just watching the action – they are the action”
Julie Gwaltney, VP of Toys at Tomy International, said: “We set out to create an innovative new brand where kids aren’t just just watching the action – they are the action. Dōteki brings together competitive play, the thrill of customisation, and the sensory satisfaction of movement-based battles in a way that reinvents the battle category. It’s designed to engage today’s kids in a whole new way, and we’re proud to lead the charge.”
The Dōteki universe is anchored by four core elemental factions—Arctos (ice), Heatoru (fire), Organika (earth), and Spiritek (tech)—each with its own strengths, style, and collectable trading cards – exclusive to each set. Players choose their character, assemble their arena, and go head-to-head with friends or train solo. Players need to stay sharp when the ion ball bounces back, as each hit transforms the shape of the battlefield and drains life points. When a player’s health key ejects, they are out. The last player standing wins the battle.
Dōteki transforms gametime into an electrifying strategy-fuelled competition and is designed for kids aged 8+. Each Dōteki box includes a QR code that links to how-to-play videos and gameplay inspiration – so players can learn fast and to jump right into the action.
Dōteki is now available at Amazon and speciality retailers.
