The Spielwarnemesse eG trade show features in a new Toy Sector Playbook from the government, aiming to tap into the “immense potential” of the toy industry
Kids India, the country’s leading B2B trade show for toys, sporting goods, and baby and children’s products, has been highlighted as a key industry event in the Indian government’s newly unveiled Toy Sector Playbook.
Kids India is a central platform for one of the world’s fastest-growing toy markets. The trade fair, which will take place from 4-6 March 2027 at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai, was noted as a pivotal event that supports the growth of nation’s toy ecosystem
Presented by Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, the Playbook aims to increase India’s share of the global toy market to five per cent by 2032. The focus is on innovation, quality, design, excellent manufacturing, and stronger international connections.
Piyush Goyal said: The toy sector holds immense potential to contribute to India’s manufacturing growth, enjoyment generation and inclusive economic development.
“As India strengthens its position in the global toy value chain, the next phase of growth must be driven by design excellence, innovation, intellectual property and the development of globally recognised Indian brands.”
As part of that initiative, the playbook indicates that Kids India will be a crucial trade show, bringing together international brands, buyers, manufacturers, and industry players, facilitates partnerships, and invites the entire industry to become part of India’s growth story.
As India’s toy sector continues to evolve, Kids India offers companies a gateway to one of the world’s most dynamic markets—for partnerships and expansion opportunities. Interested companies can secure their booth at the upcoming event now.
