Lagoon launches Pundamental range from Jelly Armchair

A brand-new, punny range of card games and puzzles is coming from Lagoon in partnership with illustrated brand Jelly Armchair

Lagoon has unveiled Pundamental, a side-splitting new range of playful card games and puzzles from much-loved illustrated brand Jelly Armchair, designed to deliver instant smiles and laugh-out-loud moments.

Created for retailers seeking something light-hearted with strong gift appeal, the Pundamental collection puts a playful twist on a classic game, paired with Jelly Armchair’s instantly recognisable style.

The range includes All Puns & Games – Food & Drink Edition and Animal Edition, packed with clever wordplay and visual jokes such as “Melon Collie,” “Mask a Pony” and “Holy Cow.” Completing the range are two 1,000-piece puzzles, Cat-A-Pillar and Authorful Puns, offering fun, mindful entertainment with a distinctly humorous edge.

“As soon as I saw the Jelly Armchair pun illustrations, I knew we were on for a winning product range,” said Gemma Lewington, Marketing Director for University Games and Lagoon. “The combination of gameplay, clean humour and distinct illustrations makes a winning formula. Suitable for the whole family, from eight to 80, these beautiful and contemporary games and puzzles make unique gifts and offering retailers a perfectly aesthetic range of games and puzzles.”

Jelly Armchair is a small family business founded in 2015 by sisters Cat and Liz, who are celebrating the brand’s 10-year anniversary this year. Cat, the illustrator and self-confessed “pun creator extraordinaire,” brings each design to life using dip pen and ink, generous watercolour washes and pencil scribbles to capture all the playful details.

Jelly Armchair already enjoys a strong retail presence, with greetings cards stocked in Waterstones, and licensing for the brand is being driven by Larkshead Licensing Limited.
