Monopoly TV show passes go at Netflix

12 contestants will vie for a chance to win a $2 million prize in the unscripted series hitting screens in autumn 2027

A Monopoly competition show has been greenlit at Netflix, pitting 12 contestants against one another for a chance to win a $2 million prize.

Hasbro is teaming with Studio Lambert – the team behind Squid Games: The Challenge – on the series, which is slated to hit the streamer in autumn 2027.

Monopoly’s executive producers include Gabriel Marano and Zachary Edwin of Hasbro Entertainment, as well as Studio Lambert’s Nia Yemoh, Tim Harcourt, Jack Burgess, Stephen Lambert, and Kim Murphy.

The show will see contestants immersed in a life-size Monopoly Town Square where they’ll have the opportunity to earn money, buy properties, negotiate deals, and hopefully stay out of jail. Bankrupt players will be eliminated until one winner is left standing.
