Ravensburger rolls out Rolliverse game series

The new game series debuts at Spiel Essen this month with six variants, including Minecraft, Star Wars, and Stitch – and is available in the UK and Ireland next February

Ravensburger has revealed details of forthcoming game series launch Rolliverse. The game is designed by Spiel des Jahres Game of the Year award winners Michael Palm and Lukas Zach, and it is set to be showcased to an audience of over 200,000 visitors at Spiel Essen later this month.

“Rolliverse is a new series of dice games including a variety of themed worlds that can be played individually or combined,” said Vicki Isitt, Ravensburger UK Games Product Marketing Manager. “This concept enables players to gather around the tabletop to enjoy one game together, no matter which world they choose.”

Whether it’s luring cute Foodimals out of their hiding spots, accompanying Rolli on his quest for the mysterious Prime Die, or embarking on fantastic adventures with dragons, in Rolliverse, players choose their favourite world and roll the dice to collect cards, points, and the best combinations.

With up to three rolls per turn, they try to achieve matching combinations to collect cards from their own hand or the shared display. The game mechanics build on the familiar feel of classic combination dice games and enhance it with clever card choices. The rules are easy to learn, but every roll opens up new possibilities.

At launch, Rolliverse will feature six themed worlds: Minecraft, Star Wars, Stitch, Dragons, Foodimals, and Rolli’s Adventures. Each box comes with its own characters, illustrations, and collectible highlights. All sets can be played on their own and can also be combined with one another – everyone at the same table can immerse themselves in their favourite world while playing one game together.

Rolliverse is designed for two to four players aged seven years and up. Larger groups of up to six players can play when combining multiple sets. A game lasts about 15 to 20 minutes. Rolliverse is available in the UK and Republic of Ireland from February. Ravensburger will roll out a heavyweight marketing campaign to support the launch.
