The popular imitative will deliver a further 100 game boxes to public libraries across the UK later this year

Playtime PR’s Libraries Board Game Club is returning for the fifth time with a further 100 games boxes set to land at public libraries across the UK this autumn.

The initiative, which was devised to increase access to play for local communities via their libraries, has delivered a whopping 3,800 games into 400 public libraries to date. Autumn 2026 will see another collection of board games distributed to 100 libraries across the country, providing opportunities for play, interaction and social connection.

“Libraries Board Game Club continues to be such an important initiative for us,” said Ceriann Smith, Managing Director at Playtime PR. “We live in uncertain times, so it feels more important than ever to provide opportunities and access to play for everyone.”

The programme has supported the creation of 119 new board game clubs over the past two years, and a further 131 library board game collections have been refreshed and revamped to date.

“We’re looking forward to being able to increase these figures even more with this latest phase,” Ceriann added. “The commitment of companies that have supported the initiative has been crucial to its success – huge thanks to the teams at Big Potato, Ravensburger, Orchard Toys, Asmodee, Moose Games, Hachette Games, Exploding Kittens, Golden Bear, Gibsons Games, Spin Master, Ridley’s Games, Imagination Games, Clarendon Games and Smart Games for their involvement to date.”

Spaces are limited, so any games companies that are interested in getting involved, should contact libraries@playtimepr.com
