Superman retail takeover is underway

Superman Summer is officially underway. Warner Bros. Pictures is set to celebrate DC Studios’ highly anticipated feature film, Superman. Launching globally in cinemas on Friday 11 July 2025, it has the full backing of UK retail with unmissable takeovers now rolling out in stores and online.

HMV, the destination retailer for film, TV, and pop culture merchandise, is now live with a full programme showcasing the movie and the licensed products that target the burgeoning kidult market. For the first time in HMV’s 104-year history, the retailer’s famous canine icon has been given a new DC Super-Hero makeover with Superman’s sidekick Krypto replacing Nipper the Terrier, which is synonymous with the store.
