The Fence Club prepares for annual Christmas Ball

Fence Club members will gather for an evening of fun and fundraising in central London this weekend

Members of the Fence Club and their guests are today eagerly collecting their their tuxedos and ball gowns from the dry cleaners in preparation for the gala of the year, The Fence Club Christmas Ball which takes place in central London tomorrow night.

The ball returns for another year of revelry and fundraising on Saturday at the Hilton Metropole, Edgeware Road in London. The black-tie event will see Jaqueline Taylor-Foo as the newly appointed Chairman preside over what is sure to be a lively event.

While last year’s ball saw toy trade revellers enjoy a fantastic evening, close to 400 are expected to join the fun at this year’s ball. Last years event was punctuated by singing waiters, the RAF marching band, and amazing live music throughout – and this year is set to be no different.

As well as good food and better company, charity is at the heart of the annual event. In excess of £30,000 was raised in 2024 through the Fence Club raffle and auction. As Character Options MD Joe Kissane says: “It’s for the children!”

This year’s event is fortunate to welcome a wealth of generous sponsors. Lee Veitch, co-founder of Super Awesome, is proudly sponsoring the band (The Faithettes, Paloma Faith’s touring band); Precise TV is sponsoring the raffle; Hoopla Digital is providing the pre-dinner refreshments; Venatus will sponsor the decorations for the reception area and ballroom; Frame Advertising is sponsoring the picture booth; and Generation Media, Playwire, and Haas Formula One are sponsoring the raffle and auction.

With surprises and more, one thing is for certain: guests will enjoy an evening of true industry solidarity – and should come prepared ready to donate to the worthy chosen charities!
