The toy industry charity seeks 10 brave cyclists to take on the 24 hour challenge this June
The Toy Trust is calling on avid cyclists from across the trade for a challenging but rewarding fundraiser: the 24-hour London to Paris cycle challenge.
In early June, 10 fit and willing volunteers will cycle out from the BTHA’s London headquarters and towards the City of Lights. Taking place over Friday 5 and Saturday 6 June 2026, cyclists will pedal southwards towards to Newhaven, Sussex taking an overnight ferry to Dieppe and onwards to Paris the following day, completing the challenge in 24 hours.
The Toy Trust is seeking cyclists who have a good level of cycling ability, have experience of cycling in a group (desirable but not essential as training will be included) and those looking for a challenge for the toy industry’s charity this year. Spectacular scenery, great camaraderie, a fitness challenge and a once-in-a-lifetime experience are all guaranteed.
“This trip will be a fantastic event for anyone with a sense of adventure, a desire to make a difference and share an amazing experience with fellow toy industry professionals,” said Christine Nicholls, Toy Trust Chair. “If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!”
Included as part of your entry will be organisation and logistics, full support vehicle and mechanic, ferry crossing from Newhaven to Dieppe, hotel stay and breakfast in Paris (based upon single rooms), bicycles returned to central location for pickup, and event insurance.
Places are free for all cyclists in return for a fundraising target for the Toy Trust which will be agreed with all cyclists once interest has been registered. If you would like to express an interest in signing up with no obligation and to find out more, please contact Matt Jones at the BTHA matt@btha.co.uk.
