UK Games Expo, the UK’s biggest consumer hobby games convention, welcomed record numbers to its 20th anniversary edition at Birmingham’s NEC over the weekend.

“From packed gaming halls and exciting new releases to tournaments, live entertainment, roleplaying games, painting competitions and special guests, UKGE 2026 was bigger than ever before,” organisers said.

“These incredible numbers would not have been possible without our amazing community. Thank you to every visitor, exhibitor, volunteer, guest, trader, publisher, designer and member of staff who helped make this year’s Expo such a success. Thank you for being part of the UK’s biggest hobby games convention. We cannot wait to welcome you back next year.”

Organisers expected high turnout for the milestone show, though figures far surpassed expectations. In an exclusive interview with TnP in April, Show Director and organiser Richard Denning said: “This show will be the biggest ever hitting about 65,000 sqm of space, probably 45,000-plus individuals and maybe 80,000 attendances over the three days.”
