British Garden Centres, the UK’s largest family-run garden centre group, has reported a solid financial performance for 2025, with sales increasing by almost 30%. Favourable spring weather, continued investment across its existing portfolio and the opening of eight new garden centres all contributed to the growth
The group’s combined estate of Woodthorpe Hall Garden Centres Limited and BGC South Limited, trading together as British Garden Centres, now stands at 80 centres across the UK.
British Garden Centres also reported stronger profitability, with EBITDA rising to £18.7 million. Operating profit reached £15.1 million, giving a margin of 6.8%, while profit before tax increased by almost 60% to £12.2 million. Gross margin rose to 53.3% in 2025, up from 51.7% in 2024.
