Launched in 2019, the milestone 100th event will connect toys and games brands with media later this month
CIJ Group will mark an exciting milestone this month as it celebrates its 100th Power Pitching event.
The event, taking place Wednesday 25 March, will focus on toys and games for the Spring/Summer season and connect leading brands and retailers with national journalists.
Power Pitching was launched in 2019 to help create valuable connections between PRs and key media. The events have now supported more than 300 brands and retailers, helong them meet with over 1,200 journalists from leading publications, from national newspapers to specialist media and primetime TV shows. The event has welcomed participation from many of the biggest names in the toy and retail industry including Smyths Toys, LEGO, Build-A-Bear, Learning Resources, Ravensburger, Hunter Price, My 1st Years, Yoto, Character Options, Jazwares, Clementoni, Tonies, The Entertainer and Pokémon, among many others.

Power Pitching has been described as speed dating meets Dragon’s Den, as the events support brands to sell-in their products to 25 national consumer media in under an hour. The virtual events prove to be mutually beneficial by providing face-to-face contact time with journalists ahead of key retail occasions as they forward plan for features and segments.
To mark the milestone, CIJ Group is launching a competition in the coming weeks, giving brands the chance to win opportunities to meet with the media throughout the 2026 Power Pitching series. Full details will be revealed closer to the event.
