Ravensburger has announced a digital version of Disney Lorcana TCG, alongside new sets, collector boosters, Disney Park activations and events planned for 2027 and beyond.
More than 800 fans attended the Disney Lorcana TCG panel at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on 14th August, where Ravensburger revealed a host of plans for the popular trading card game – including confirmation that a digital version is officially “in the works”.
“Our mission in the Ravensburger TCG studio is to reach as many Disney fans as possible with our amazingly hand-crafted artwork and attention to storytelling detail,” said Elaine Chase, head of TCGs at Ravensburger. “By allowing fans to experience each Disney LorcanaTCG card wherever they are logged in, I’m positive even more Disney fans will want to jump into one of the most open communities in all of gaming.”
The announcement comes as Disney Lorcana celebrates its third anniversary, having now released 13 sets and more than 3,000 unique cards, with 2.8 billion cards sold worldwide.
New sets and collector boosters
Ravensburger also offered a first look at Cosmic Quest, due to launch in spring 2027, while revealing further details about upcoming releases.
Collectors will be able to get their hands on new collector boosters when Into the Ink dark launches in Q1 2027. Each booster will contain 12 premium foil cards, with collectors potentially able to find cards featuring a brand-new rarity, Illustrious.
Just 23 serialised copies of each Illustrious card will be printed for each set. Ravensburger revealed one of the six Illustrious cards planned for Into the Inkdark: Maleficent – Biding Her Time, illustrated by Kendall Hale.
Collector boosters will initially be available at Ravensburger Play Hub stores and select Disney locations.
The company has also unveiled the next release in its Curator’s Collection line – the Curator’s Collection Beauty and the Beast Edition. Timed to coincide with the film’s 35th anniversary, the collection will launch at select Disney locations in October and features new artwork for six characters, including Gaston – Intellectual Powerhouse and Belle – Hidden Archer.
Disney Parks and cruise experiences expand
Disney Lorcana will also become more prominent across Disney destinations in 2027 and beyond.
The game will feature at EPCOT International Festival of the Arts in 2027, with exclusive cards and gifts available with purchase. Ravensburger is also expanding its popular Collection Quests across the Disney Cruise Line fleet from 2027.
If all that wasn’t enough, fans were given a first glimpse of Disney Lorcana TCG – A Visual Guide Through the Magical Realm, a new book arriving in 2027 exploring the visual storytelling behind the game.
D23 also marked the first opportunity for fans to purchase Quest of Wonders: An Illumineer’sLorebook, an in-world book set within the Disney Lorcana universe.
Meanwhile, Ravensburger confirmed plans to expand the Disney Lorcana Challenge 2026–27 programme, with more events being added to meet demand.
Ryan Miller, co-creator of Disney Lorcana and director of product and play at Ravensburger, said: “I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, the Disney Lorcana TCG community is the friendliest group of gamers I’ve ever been a part of. My team is busy working on expanding everything for Disney Lorcana Challenge ’26–’27, including adding more events to meet the incredible demand.”
The D23 event also featured the first-ever live Disney Lorcana TCG tournament on the show floor, with 128 players competing for the first invitation to the Disney Lorcana Challenge 2026–27 North American Championship.
