Lego teases a set with the legendary artists inspired by their 2007 tour, with more to be revealed in 2027
Here’s one not on your bingo card for 2026: Lego is set to release a Daft Punk set in 2027.
To introduce the partnership, the two brands have unveiled a film in which the duo’s minifigures follow a holographic red brick through what starts as a dark, mysterious landscape. As the robots arrive and step inside the ‘gates-of-play’, the holographic architecture starts to unfold and envelop them beat by beat, brick by brick, until we finally see the pair manning a Lego brick-built console.
Julia Goldin, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at the Lego Group, said: “What makes this partnership so special is the enduring appeal both brands share. Like the Lego brand, Daft Punk inspires generations through creativity, innovation and a deep connection with fans. We’re excited to build on these foundations to reimagine the Daft Punk legacy in a fresh and unexpected way, creating something unique that resonates with fans across all ages. This is just the beginning of a bigger journey – a creative collab made for fans ready to lose themselves to play.”
The origins of the upcoming set can be traced back to the Lego Ideas community, where a Luxembourgish father-and-son passion project captured the attention of thousands of fellow Daft Punk and Lego fans. Depicting the famous pyramid stage from Daft Punk’s 2007 Alive tour, this product launch will represent the ultimate symbol of shared fandom and the creative foundation of this partnership.
Patrick Harboun, owner of the Lego Ideas Daft Punk Concert submission, said: “This all started as a creative escape during lockdown between my son and I because of our shared love of Daft Punk and Lego building. We never dared imagine it would take off in this way.”
Cédric Hervet, Creative Director for Daft Punk, added: “The pyramid stage is one of the most recognisable expressions of Daft Punk’s visual world, so it feels fitting that this fan-created design will be centre stage of this partnership.”
