Christine Nicholls, Toy Trust Chair said: “This event has inspired us all so much, and we are incredibly proud of all seven of our brave cyclists. They have shown amazing commitment and courage in completing our inaugural London to Paris Cycle Challenge.

“Our thanks go not only to them, but also all those who have sponsored and supported the campaign in support of our partner charity, The Movement Centre. This event has shown us all once again what a big-hearted, philanthropic industry we are, and I encourage anyone who still wishes to add their sponsorship to do so via our online fundraising link. All of the funds raised will go on to enhance and improve many children’s lives. Thanks once again to everyone around the industry who has supported the event!”

The Movement Centre is a children’s mobility charity that works to help change the lives of children and young people with disabilities across the UK every day. By providing specialised equipment and support to children and families in need, they aim to help give these children more independence and the best possible quality of life as well as help minimise social isolation and improve their physical and mental health.

The event’s campaign fundraising total has now reached in excess of £26,000 and there is still chance to add to this and boost this total in support of The Movement Centre.

Claire Snape, Head of Fundraising at The Movement Centre added: “We are absolutely blown away by the phenomenal effort of the Toy Trust cycling team. Conquering this gruelling challenge is a monumental achievement, and everyone at The Movement Centre is incredibly grateful for their dedication.”

The funds raised by the Toy Trust will be used to pay for specialised 12-month physiotherapy programmes and provide kids with custom standing frames.

“Every mile the team conquered is going to directly help a child or young person with movement difficulties find their own spark; learn to stand or take their very first independent steps. Thank you to the riders, the companies involved, everyone who donated, and The Toy Trust for standing with us. “
