Julia and Jeremy Minchin are stepping back after more than 25 years, with a managed transition to secure the long-term future of its owned and represented brands

Hippychick founders Julia and Jeremy Minchin have announced plans to step back from the business, marking the start of a carefully managed transition designed to secure the long-term future of the brands they helped build.

Founded in 1999, Hippychick has played a pivotal role in building and distributing a portfolio of highly respected brands across the UK retail sector, supporting both independent retailers and national accounts.

As part of the transition, the business will streamline its operations and work closely with brand partners to transfer key ranges to new distributors, ensuring continued growth and a strong presence within the market.

Julia Minchin said: “We are incredibly proud of the brands we have built and the relationships we have developed. This transition is about making sure those brands continue to thrive with the right partners in place for the future.”

Continuity of supply remains a key priority, with new distribution arrangements expected to be fully operational well ahead of the autumn season. The Hippychick own-brand range, including hipseats, feeding pillows, bed protectors and waterproof clothing, will continue to be supplied directly.

Hippychick has confirmed that it is seeking suitable distribution partners for the small number of its strong performing brands that are still available.
