Our April issue of TnP signs off the show season with reviews of the New York Toy Fair and the online Xpo Fairs Gift Fair – an interesting early success for them.
Having said that the Harrogate Toymaster event is just around the corner and we’ll be previewing that in the May edition. To adapt the famous phrase – the shows must and pretty much always do go on.

The cover story is an entertaining read on the history of Bladez Toyz, which continues to thrive after 20 years, launching innovative toys across categories from radio control to creative play

On the retail front we’ve got some excellent interviews with the likes of Royal Windsor’s Daniel Department Store and Toy Barnhaus. And that’s before we get to our regular Talking Retail pages. Our regular columnist, John Ryan, looks at the potential consequences and dangers of, what he calls, Trumpanomics. Finally on this front, Amanda Alexander of Giddy Goat Toys has penned her final Diary of a Toy Shop column before heading up the supply chain to sell to, well, toy shops.
The features this month cover Arts & Crafts, Character Licensing and STEM & Education and all are worth diving into, particularly the latter with our Toy Testers, Skyla and Loxley, playing and learning with Commotion’s tickit Wooden Building Gem Blocks Super Set.
Don’t forget, our current TnP issue also has our special Spring Garden Centre supplement both of which are being mailed out not just to our TnP circulation but also our Gifts Today readership.
