Corgi: 70 Years of Making Memories takes place today at Coventry Transport Museum, with the unveiling of new Star Trek, James Bond and Ford lines
Corgi is celebrating its 70th anniversary this week with a special event, Corgi: 70 Years of Making Memories, at Coventry Transport Museum.
Running 6-7 August, the showcase brings together iconic models spanning the decades, celebrating the pieces that defined their eras like the first Corgi model (Ford Consul), and an original vintage 261 James Bond Goldfinger Aston Martin DB5.
Visitors have also been offered a first look at exclusive new products including the Star Trek 60th anniversary model, new James Bond models – Aston Martin Valhalla and Corgi 70th James Bond DB5 Collection – and the first ever Corgi model of the legendary Ford GT40.

New research from Hornby Hobbies reveals that 35 per cent of grandparents want to pass a modelling and construction cluster hobby from their childhood on to the next generation, while 89 per cent of parents and grandparents believe hands-on hobbies help keep children away from screens.
