Winners of this year’s awards were crowned at an event in central London, recognising the best creatives across the toy and game industry
Creatives from across the toy industry were celebrated last night at the Play Creators Awards.
Hosted by TV and radio presenter, and game designer, Matt Edmondson, the awards recognised individuals and teams in the toy and game design community that have excelled over the last 12 months.
Open 2 Design’s Matt Burtonwood, who won Invention Studio / Design Agency of the Year, said: “This award is a welcome surprise, but it really means a lot. We work with a lot of the people here in the room tonight, and it’s nice to think that some of them had some nice things to say about us!”
Geoff House of Tricky was crowned with the Icon Award, praised for being a toy hero, a mastermind of innovation and “one of the nicest people in the business”.
