The new family theatre adventure is a collaboration between the Science Museum, UK Space Agency and Mark Thompson Productions
The Science Museum and Mark Thompson Productions have announced a new touring production created in partnership with the UK Space Agency: The Space Explorers Academy.
Bringing together science, imagination and a good dose of fun, The Space Explorers Academy continues the Science Museum’s mission to make learning about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) engaging, playful and accessible for young people everywhere.
The new show transforms trusted Science Museum content into an energetic theatrical experience designed to spark curiosity and show that science is something everyone can enjoy, understand and get excited about. Tickets are now available.

Developed by Mark Thompson Productions, the team behind the long‑running hit Ministry of Science Live!, the new show mixes big‑screen visuals and lively storytelling. With a reputation for turning complex ideas into family‑friendly entertainment, the company brings its signature blend of science and showmanship to this latest collaboration.
Created for children aged six to 12, The Space Explorers Academy takes audiences on a whistle‑stop journey around the solar system, packed with real discoveries and surprising facts. The show highlights career options in the space sector and accessible insights into the challenges of exploring space. Every moment is designed to encourage questions, build confidence and inspire future scientists, engineers and inventors.
