The B2B toy showroom combines a physical space with an online platform featuring more than 500,000 products across 17 categories
The opening of a new 80,000 m² toy sourcing hub in China was attended by 50 international buyers, industry experts and media in early September.
On Top’s new B2B toy showroom in Shantou, China was officially opened by On Top Global CEO Joe Qiao. During the opening programme, guests were introduced to the showroom, On Top’s manufacturer network and the way its physical and online sourcing platforms work together.
“Our ambition for On Top is to become the global gateway to toy manufacturing in China,” Joe said. “When a toy buyer anywhere in the world wants to discover new products, develop its own range or find the right manufacturing partner, we want Shantou and On Top to be the natural starting point.”
The new facility is the world’s largest permanent B2B toy showroom. It provides international buyers with direct access to products and manufacturers across Shantou’s toy manufacturing ecosystem. The physical hub is complemented by On Top’s online platform, which allows buyers to discover and shortlist products before travelling to China and continue their sourcing process after returning home. The platform features more than 500,000 products across 17 categories.
During the opening programme, buyers explored new collections, met manufacturers and discussed opportunities ranging from existing product lines to OEM and ODM development. International media and industry experts were given access to On Top’s leadership and the manufacturing ecosystem behind the platform.
“We didn’t build this showroom simply to display more toys,” Joe added. “We built it to make one of the world’s largest toy manufacturing ecosystems easier to access. Seeing buyers and industry experts from around the world here in Shantou confirms that there is a real need for a more transparent, efficient and connected way of sourcing.”
The opening marks a new chapter in On Top’s international expansion. Shantou is one of the world’s most important toy manufacturing ecosystems, and On Top’s ambition is to make that ecosystem easier for international buyers to access and navigate.
