In last month’s issue Bigjigs Toys, the official UK and Ireland distributor for NeeDoh told us about the the harmful truths of fake products and poor copycats causing a potential serious threat
Only yesterday, Sam Ireland, Operations Director at Bigjigs had reported that Trading Standards have taken swift action, raiding 2 wholesalers and a number of retailers, removing over £100,000 worth of fake toys right out of the supply chain.
As he said: “When demand outstrips supply, opportunistic operations jump in to exploit the trend. But these aren’t harmless lookalikes! Trading Standards offices nationwide have raised alarms that these fakes fail basic safety regulations, tear open easily, and can expose kids to harmful chemicals and choking risks.”
