Boxes of board games are making their way to libraries this week, as the initiative marks its fifth season
Libraries Board Game Club 2026 has officially kicked off its fifth season, with boxes of board games being distributed to 100 public libraries around the country this week.
The initiative, which aims to increase access to play for local communities through their libraries, will provide opportunities for play, interaction and social connection. Each box contains a collection of brilliant board games from Big Potato, McMiller, Orchard Toys, Ravensburger, Spin Master and Zatu Distribution.
“We’re really excited and proud to be entering the fifth wave of Libraries Board Game Club this autumn,” said Ceriann Smith, Managing Director at Playtime PR. “The response from libraries continues to be hugely positive, and with funding and resources in this area remaining limited, we love seeing how the initiative continues to spread the power of play.
“This is particularly important as we head into the autumn/winter months when public libraries become even more of a focal point for families and local communities,” she added. “Massive thanks to the games companies who supported this season: Big Potato, McMiller, Orchard Toys, Ravensburger, Spin Master and Zatu Distribution. We couldn’t do it without their support!”
