The toy retailer opens its second location in Manila, a 530 sqm flagship store in bustling Bonifacio Global City
Hamleys has opened a 530 sqm flagship at Bonifacio High Street in Manila, its second location in the city in partnership with SSI Group.
Located in Bonifacio Global City’s (BGC) premier 240-hectare lifestyle and business district, this new destination builds on Hamleys’ presence in the country, following a successful Manila debut in 2014.
The opening day celebrations brought high-energy fun to BGC with a lively character parade, exclusive giveaways, face painting, music performances and character meet-and-greets.
“The Philippines has always embraced Hamleys with so much love and this new flagship at BGC reflects that relationship growing stronger,” said a Hamleys spokesperson. “As our second store here, it is a proud moment for us – Manila’s vibrant and dynamic spirit, its energy and the families that fill it every day, make it the perfect home for Hamleys as we continue our mission to spread the magic of play around the world.”
The store features exclusive hero zones like Ralleyz, a fast-paced RC racetrack experience; a giant LEGO Playlab; an immersive red London double-decker bus installation in a nod to the iconic Regent Street store; and the experiential Barbie Zone – a children’s boutique and salon.
And as with every Hamleys store around the world, shoppers will be greeted by iconic Hamleys characters – including Hamley and Hattie Bear, the toy soldier, the circus ringmaster and the rag doll.
